I started a myspace page, I got a new email account, I was chatting to friends I haven't heard from in years! I was enjoying finally being back online. Then as I'm watching tv, not even thinking about my computer, I hear it make a noise as if a message popped up. I go over and get rid of the screensaver. My computer has only 6 colors! The icons are huge! The message says something, but I'm too paniced to read it. Just then Amanda, (my sister) comes in my room.

"That looks pretty", she says.

I say something along the lines of "No it doesn't, my computer's dying. Now leave me alone so I can try to fix it". Only I add a random swear word in between every other word.

She leaves and I begin acting like I know what I'm doing.

I have no idea what I'm doing.

I restart the computer and nothing has changed.

I restart the computer, but press the delete button instead of let windows load. Now I have no idea what to do. I reset somethings and start randomly fiddlign with crap, hoping I fixed it.

I restart the computer. Nothing changed. It tells me that my computer only has 8 colors and a low resolution. "Like I don't see that". ,I yell at it, this time add more swear words than I said to Amanda.

I restart the computer and tell it to run with the "last known good configuration".

It's at this point where I know that its a goner, because all that shows up on my monitor is a screen of all white. Then I notice that when I move my mouse or hit a key on the keyboard that the screen changes. It shows a random pattern of stripes in various black and white assorments. Very comforting.

After a few minutes of making my own epileptic lightshow I decide to see if my graphics card is lose.

Thanks to Will, I now know which card my graphics card is and I remove it. I look at it. I don't know what I'm looking for, but I look like I do. I decide it's fine and put it back in. It wasn't fine, because...

I restart my computer and it says, "No Signal".
