2003-11-18 - 2:49 p.m. Last night at work McDonald's hosted a fundraiser for a school which was called "Teachers get in the way of everyone night". Well something like that. The entire staff was on hand for such a marvelous event. There were 10 people working the counter. Each had 3 teachers in their way. On top of that the entire school came out to support the teachers, stand in our lobby and of course, flood the grill with orders Luckily, through strategic planning I called the spot in drive through that you just hand out food to people and say "Thank you, have a nice day. Come again". Unfortunately, that also meant that I had to babysit the store manager's daughter. So, I did the only thing that there was to do. I put the 5 year old to work. Pretty soon I was handing out the occasional drink and napkin while the child did my work for me. Don't get me wrong, I love kids and all, but she was having fun, and I was getting paid to watch her hand stuff to the customers. Tell me you wouldn't do it too.
